Hello. I’m Pam Houston, founder of Houston Design Studios. My creative roots are in the Bluegrass of Kentucky (where genuine people and thoroughbred racing are plentiful!) and where I first knew I was an artist at heart.

In 1988, along with two partners, I started a business-to-business advertising agency. Headquartered in Cincinnati, DeanHouston, Inc. continues to grow & prosper today. I enjoyed developing custom designs serving our many wonderful clients while also traveling the world. It was a busy and exciting life.

In 2010, I launched Houston Design Studios and began the entrepreneurial shift from visual design strategy to textile & surface design. I located the business in warehouse studio space in The Pendleton Art Center in the Over-the-Rhine district of Cincinnati.

My 25+ years of corporate branding design and product promotion gave me a natural platform for growth into the world of surface & textile design, while my professional network continues to offer support and encouragement.
